A babysitter shook a three year-old girl so hard she left the youngster brain dead, court documents say.
Hannah Wesche’s family are preparing to turn off her life support machine after last Thursday’s alleged attack by Lindsay Partin in Butler County, Oh.
Court documents seen by WLWT5 saw Partin admitted shaking Hannah before she was killed, with relatives claiming she had also been punched before passing out.
The little girl was injured so badly during the reported assault doctors had to remove part of her skull because her brain had swollen so badly.
Tragically, their efforts have not paid off, with Hannah’s aunt Megan Latham saying the family are on the verge of saying their final goodbyes.
She explained: ‘We have to sit here and look at our dead little Hannah and just wait for these exams to tell us what we already know.’
Megan recalled what happened on the day Hannah sustained her injury, saying: ‘She’d gotten dropped off, a couple minutes later, she’s calling (Hannah’s dad) Jason, hysterical, doesn’t really know what’s happening, they call 911.
‘In order to do something like this to an innocent, fragile child, you would have to be a monster.’
Hannah’s dad Jason set up a GoFundMe page to raise money for other abuse victims and created the hashtag #JUSTICEFORHANNAH.
The devoted single father called the little girl his ‘sweet baby’, with an earlier GoFundMe page revealing Hannah spent six months in intensive care as a newborn after being born addicted to drugs because of her mom’s habit.
Partin had looked after Hannah at her home daycare center in Hanover Township for months before last week’s incident.
She was booked into Butler County Jail on charges of endangering children and felonious assault.
