Zofija Kaczan died a few days after being attacked in Derby, where she was knocked down and her handbag was taken.
A man has been charged with the manslaughter and robbery of 100-year-old Zofija Kaczan, who died after being mugged.
The victim suffered a broken neck in the attack in the Normanton area of Derby on 28 May.
Ms Kaczan was approached from behind, knocked down and her handbag was taken, shortly before 9am. The green bag was later found nearby.
She died in the early hours of Wednesday but she reportedly forgave her attacker at a mass while in hospital before her death.
Arthur Waszkiewicz, 39, will appear at South Derbyshire Magistrates Court on Saturday.

Investigating officer Detective Chief Inspector Darren De'ath said: "I would like to take the opportunity to thank the community for their help in this case.
"We are pleased that we have been able to bring these charges which will now be placed before the courts."
